Supervisor: Senior Assistant Director of Admissions Operations
Position Purpose: Supports the Office of Admissions by welcoming visitors and assisting with admissions operations.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Reception
* Welcome and assist visitors to the Admissions Office
* Answer and direct phone calls
* Provide rotating reception coverage, including some weekend hours
Clerical work
* Respond to emails from prospective students, parents, and school counselors
* Perform data entry and record management
* Help prepare mailings for prospective students
* Recalculate high school GPAs
* Provide support for admissions campus events (e.g., open houses)
* Support deans with program responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred
* Strong communication, listening, interpersonal, and customer service skills
* Proficiency in software programs (Google Apps, Word, Excel)
* Ability to think critically, adapt accordingly, and escalate challenges when appropriate
* Attention to detail with strong multitasking skills. Ability to adapt to new technologies
* Initiative to work independently under general supervision in a flexible work environment
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive office data
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is $17.00. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
