Job Title: Operations Specialist- Office Building (ESG & Travel Management Focus)

About Us: At MJH Life Sciences, we are committed to sustainability, efficiency, and excellence in every aspect of our operations. We are seeking an experienced Operations Specialist who is passionate about integrating ESG principles into office management.
Job Description:
As the Operations Specialist for our office building, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the facility while focusing on our ESG goals. You will also assist with managing our travel platform as well as our desk booking platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Operations:
* Assist in managing daily operations of the HQ office building, including maintenance, security, and janitorial services.
* Ensure the building is compliant with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Manage vendor relationships and service contracts.
* Assist with the management of our Office Hotelling platform- Office Space.
ESG Management:
* Help develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the building's carbon footprint.
* Monitor and report on ESG metrics, including energy consumption, waste management, supply purchases and water usage.
* Promote and educate our associates on our sustainability initiatives.
* Coordinate with external consultants and regulatory bodies on ESG compliance and reporting.
Travel Management:
* Assist with managing Navan, our business travel platform, including responding to emails with questions regarding the platform.
* Assist with updating and maintaining travel policies and procedures to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance.
* Provide support and assistance to employees regarding travel logistics and issues.
Budget Management:
* Monitor supply, travel, and sustainability expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
Reporting and Documentation:
* Maintain accurate records related to building operations, ESG performance, and travel management.
* Assist with preparing and present reports on operational performance, ESG achievements, and travel expenditures.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 5 years of experience in facilities management, with a focus on ESG practices.
* Strong understanding of ESG principles and sustainability practices.
* Proven experience in managing travel logistics and vendor relationships.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with facilities management software and carbon tracking software.
