As an integral part of the mission to solve the largest issue facing rental real estate, they are seeking a dynamic Head of Strategy & Operations to help scale the platform, build out operations, and drive strategic growth.

About the Role:

Our client is looking for a Head of Strategy & Operations to join the growing team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company. Reporting directly to the founders, the role will take ownership of day-to-day operations while also driving strategic initiatives. This role requires wearing many hats—from streamlining operations and building strategic partnerships to overseeing product development and managing critical projects. Leadership will be essential in scaling the platform, optimizing performance, and driving revenue growth.

This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role, perfect for someone with a proven track record of operational excellence, cross-functional leadership, and strategic execution. The role is in a startup environment, and candidates should be prepared to take on diverse challenges with agility and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans that align with company goals to scale the platform and expand its market reach.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the platform, ensuring smooth execution across departments, including finance, marketing, product, and partnerships.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering and business development teams to enhance product offerings, improve operational efficiency, and drive growth.
  • Partnerships & Business Development: Identify and foster strategic partnerships that will enhance platform capabilities and drive user adoption.
  • Project Management: Lead key projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet business objectives. This includes overseeing product roadmap execution, customer onboarding processes, and operational improvements.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze business performance data to identify opportunities for optimization, growth, and efficiency across the organization.
  • Team Building: Help build and mentor a high-performing team as the company continues to scale. Play a critical role in shaping company culture and driving employee engagement.
  • Customer Success: Develop and refine processes to ensure high customer satisfaction, retention, and platform adoption by landlords and property managers.
  • Financial Performance: Work closely with finance teams to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring financial performance metrics are met.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in operations, strategy, or business development in a startup, technology, real estate, or related field.
  • Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Strong operational background with a track record of optimizing processes and scaling businesses.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable in a fast-paced, startup environment where agility, problem-solving, and resourcefulness are key.
  • Experience in real estate technology, property management, or multifamily housing is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies; ability to lead complex projects from ideation to execution.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strategic partnerships that drive business value.
  • Analytical and data-driven approach to decision-making, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a small, agile team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Passion for real estate, housing innovation, and technology is a major plus.
