Job Description:
We are hiring an Operations Superintendent who is passionate about leading, cross-functional integration and to oversee multiple production divisions to meet and exceed our goals (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost)The target starting base salary for this position is $107,000 -$137,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Steelcase considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.What You Will Be Doing:* Managing multiple production divisions on all shifts.* Integrates cross functional teams, to improve the business* Control costs through maintaining budgets and identifying cost reduction programs to ensure the divisions meet or exceeds goals.* Continually seek opportunities to identify and quantify challenges/problems that have significant business impact.* Lead continuous improvement activities to drive improvements to processes and develop/implement the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization.* Ensures all employees are properly trained for efficiency and safety.* Maintaining quality goals and meeting customer expectations.* May oversee one or more Operations Leader(s), possibly on an alternate shift for the area.* Set direction for the involvement of cross functional teams and holds them accountable to expectations.Your Future Team:You will be part of an evolving and collaborative Operations Group and lead 60 to 150 hourly employees and Operations Leader(s).Who You Are:Required Skills and Competencies* Bachelor's degree in a related field or (minimum 8 years manufacturing leadership experience)* Knowledge and experience with manufacturing support areas.Preferred Skills and Competencies* Master's degree in a related field* Five years of experience in Microsoft OfficeWho We Are:Steelcase is a global design and thought leader in the world of work.
