Job DescriptionPRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for ensuring that NOV's safety program, is followed and is promoted to employees, customers, partners, and the public at all times
  • Comply with NOV CT safety program as a minimum standard unless regulations or legislation is more stringent in any area
  • Knowledge and understanding of NOVs quality policies and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace instructions.
  • Responsible for maintenance/certification of all workshop tools and machinery in compliance with corporate/local Health and Safety requirements.
  • Manages and prioritizes workshop resources in accordance with current workload and upcoming job requirements.
  • Ensures that workshop documentation is maintained in accordance with TQM, ISO and other relevant databases.
  • Ensure that stocks of consumable items and spare parts are monitored and maintained to suit activity levels in conjunction with Inventory/Asset Manager.
  • Ensure that rework, inspection, and repair work is carried out to have equipment readily available for stock and allocation to specific jobs.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating certification and asset folders for rental tools.
  • Supervise the preparation of rental, sales and third party equipment prior to mobilization to and from location.
  • Liaise with field personnel and third party suppliers to ensure that job requirements are communicated throughout the planning and preparation process.
  • Provide guidance, assistance, training, and mentoring to workshop technicians as and when required.
  • Maintain quality, cost, and service standards by supervising employees.
  • Performs/assigns JSA (Job Safety Analysis)/Tool Box Talks/Permit to Work as required.
  • Follow maintenance and process procedures for applicable products and equipment and complete all relevant documentation.
  • Successfully completes training plan and competency standards as set out in the position within company guidelines.
  • Supervise complex workshop procedures such as SIT's (System Integrity Tests) and FAT's (Factory Acceptance Tests) as required.
  • Assigns Competency Standards to workshop personnel as required and performs competency assessments for workshop personnel.
  • Assigns goals and objectives, and performs performance appraisals as required.
  • Participate in selection and interview process for relevant workshop candidates.
  • Implements improvements for workshop process and procedures as related to workshop performance improvements.
  • Must be able to use the correct information and/or systems and/or technology, and be able to consistently identify and recommend improvements as appropriate.
  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level and within time constraints as required.
  • Recognizes problems and improvements needed and passes these on to management.
  • Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager
  • Provides guidance and leadership.
  • Completes training plan as set out in the position within company guidelines.
  • Available on a 24-hour call basis to respond to customer needs.
  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
