As an Operations Supervisor, a key member of the Wallenius Wilhelmsen operations team, you will support the General Manager in our high-productivity Vehicle Processing Center (VPC).

Job Description:

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Oversee operations at Wallenius Wilhelmsens Vehicle Processing Center.Lead continuous process improvements to achieve a safe and cost -efficient work environment that meets performance targets.
  • Responsible for promoting and helping develop a culture of a safe work environment for all employees and visitors through compliance with the WWS Health & Safety.
  • Within your area of responsibility, investigate any accidents, incidents and/or near misses, to ensure actions are be taken to prevent future incidents. Lessons learned are documented and shared and all reporting is completed timely and accurately.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of current practices.
  • Coordinate with leads to ensure organization of daily work for the crew.
  • Foster an environment of positive employee relations and employee involvement.
  • Perform corrective actions if needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • 3 or more years supervisory experience in manufacturing or logistics
  • Ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions
  • Solid understanding of revenue drivers and efficiency standards to deliver positive financial results
  • Experience leading continuous process improvements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel software applications
EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE
  • 1-2 years experience in an automotive or warehousing environment
  • A passion to develop, motivate, and coach employees for their professional development, and future growth of the company
  • Inspiring change through communication at all impacted levels
