Operations Supervisor, Aircraft Maintenance (2nd Shift)
Full-Time, Permanent position
Wichita, Kansas; Onsite
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise assigned aircraft maintenance employees, ensuring the safety, schedules, personnel, and quality of daily operations
- Promote a safe working environment by overseeing safety and security programs
- Perform supervisory responsibilities, including performance management, hiring, dismissals, and coordinating daily meetings
- Coordinate the completion of planned and ad-hoc maintenance
- Ensure all work adheres to Repair Station and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
- Monitor facility safety requirements and report deficiencies
- Engage with customers on Aircraft Maintenance matters (where needed)
- Identify and promote best practices while championing continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage databases and reporting to ensure labor efficiency aligns with work orders
Required Skills and Experience:
- Typically, 3+ years of experience in aircraft heavy/line maintenance and inspection procedures
- Leadership experience, preferably in aircraft maintenance
- Possess an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate or certification under FAR (Part 65)
- Familiarity with aircraft inspection systems and procedures
- Knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities, with a focus on developing people
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficient in computer skills
