About the Role
As a Supervisor, Distribution Center, you will support retail operations by managing the day-to-day execution of merchandise processing through the Fulfillment Network.
What You'll Do
* Manage the workflow of several departments in conjunction with individual department supervisors
* Develop and maintain accuracy standards to ensure unit inventory integrity
* Align with business partners to resolve issues and ensure efficient service
* Ensure dynamic staffing to meet company goals
* Effectively manage staff to meet productivity and cost goals
* Monitor safety and accident incident reports to reduce lost time and ensure performance best practices
* Evaluate and track level of service and accuracy standards
* Lead direct reports to achieve unit goals
* Increase associate engagement by developing and communicating a clear vision
* Maintain open communication, set clear objectives and remove barriers
* Develop an effective staff through coaching and performance feedback
* Follow all company, state, local and OSHA safety rules, policies and regulations to promote a safe work environment; promptly report any potential violations to the appropriate supervisor/manager
* Comply with all company policies, procedures, standards and guidelines, including those related to accuracy and productivity
* Maintain regular and acceptable attendance as set by the company and comply with dress code requirements
* Maintain a flexible work schedule and adhere to the requirement of working any designated shift and overtime as requested per business and operational needs.
What Skills You Have
Required
* Prior experience managing teams in a distribution warehouse environment
* Working knowledge of automated distribution and warehouse systems
* Bachelor's or advanced degree
* Strong interpersonal communication skills
* Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
* Flexibility in hours to support multi-shift operations
* Effective collaboration and teamwork skills
* Adept multi-tasking abilities
* Ability to satisfactorily complete company training programs and cross-train in at least 2 departments
Preferred
* 1-2 years of experience with Operations and Operational Support Systems (WMS, WCS, LMS)
* 1-2 years automated MHE and SQL experience
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work well under pressure and as a team for the achievement of customer satisfaction
* Ability to work under general supervision and use knowledge and experience to provide quality support to the user community
