This position provides effective leadership, training and motivation to employees in order to achieve operational excellence and meet defined corporate Quality of Service Measures and Key Performance Indicators. The Operations Supervisor creates a clean, safe and productive work environment while providing exemplary service to both internal and external customers. ? Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Support the stated customer service objectives and / or key performance indicators.
  • Observe procedures to monitor and/or regulate processes, tasks, or activities of employees.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures are being followed daily.
  • Ensure all employees comply with safety and sanitation rules, regulations, and guidelines; make on the spot correction of unsafe acts and maintain an inspection ready distribution center.
  • Generate and utilize operational reports through warehouse operations systems such as iWarehouse and Triceps.
  • Routinely conduct formal and informal production and safety observations on all employees.
  • Schedule and perform meetings (pre-shift, team and safety meetings).
  • Administer and maintain company policies, union contract, and government regulations.
  • Coach and train employees to perform their job safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct post accident investigations and submit the report to management.
  • Administer appropriate discipline as needed.
  • Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises approximately 12-20 employees. Perform shipping/receiving supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Education and/or Experience Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one year to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Computer SkillsThe individual must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint software. Certificates, License, RegistrationsAppropriate motor vehicle record and valid driver's license preferred.
