Job Description:

Position Description: The Operations Supervisor will supervise the daily operations of the Snyder Gas Plant to maximize productivity and profitability while complying with all Safety, PSM, EHS and environmental requirements. Relocation may be considered for this position. Essential duties and responsibilities:Supervise 14 SCADA Operators and 2 Operations TechniciansPromote an environment of high safety awareness and compliance among all plant operations personnelStrive to perform all operations activities in an environmentally sound manner.Assist in the ongoing management of the Process Safety Management program for SGPWork closely with EHS Project Managers to maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety and environmental requirementsAssist in the preparation and management of annual operations budgetMonitor and control operations expendituresOversee daily operations of SGP to maintain maximum production as efficiently as possibleProvide technical assistance in troubleshooting problem areasDetermine training requirements and resources available to operations personnelPrepare annual performance reviews for all operations personnelProvide coaching, guidance and counseling as neededProvide project management on small projectsProvide engineering assistance as requiredMaintain open and frequent communications with plant manager on all issues pertaining to SGP operations and operating personnelOther duties as assigned

Education:High school diploma or equivalentCompetencies, skills, and abilities:Solid safety and environmental practicesSelf-starter and high drive for resultsMust be able to handle multiple tasksStrong teamworkStrong communication skillsBasic computer skillsMust maintain a valid driver's license, and a driving record satisfactory to the company's insurersMust be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus on attention to detail, and follow work rules. Working Conditions:May be required to work after hours, weekends and holidaysTasks are performed in all weather conditions, in daylight & darknessMay be required to stand, walk, sit, ascend/descend stairs or ladders, use hand tools, and reach with hands and arms.Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.Process, compressors, vessels and piping systems contain H2S and hydrocarbon gases which are flammable and may be explosive under certain circumstancesBe available for call-out and overtime Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge: (Above the minimum requirements; not required, but advantageous in this position)Experience in oil and gas operationsExperience in gas processingExperience in compression operationExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)College course work in technical or business field will be helpful in this position Benefits:Kinder Morgan, Inc. offers employees a comprehensive benefits package.
