Position Summary

This position is accountable for assisting in the operations for Birmingham terminal location.

Essential Functions

* Supervise performance of drivers

* Conduct interviews and hire drivers

* Work closely with dispatchers on troubleshooting items such as delivery issues, driver training program, staffing levels, customer requests/complaints, etc.

* Approve/Deny driver PTO requests, manage annual vacation schedule, create weekly driver schedule for dispatch

* Assist in the forecasting of terminal performance and analyze terminal financial information

* Ensure maximum asset utilization

Qualifications

Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in business related field or equivalent business experience in the transportation industry

* Excellent conflict resolution skills

* Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence

* Basic understanding of Microsoft Office
