Job Description:
Candidate Source is recruiting an Operations Supervisor for our client who is a fast-growing healthcare fulfillment and transportation company seeking to add talented and passionate people to its team.Job Responsibilities:
  • Support the General Manager by conducting interviews with new Independent Contractors and/or full-time employees as needed (drivers/couriers).
  • Lead new contractors through the orientation and on-boarding process.
  • Support the General Manager by training new contractors and employees.
  • Problem resolution/point person for independent contractor's concerns, challenges, etc.
  • Ensure that contractors are cross-trained across multiple routes.
  • Provide tactical support to customers and resolve any issues, balancing workload across independent contractors and customers each day.
  • Ensure that all customer requests are addressed immediately and given thoughtful feedback, escalating all serious issues to the General Manager.
  • Complete all billing and settlement tasks to provide support to the Home Office billing team.
  • Collect weekly independent contractor invoices and process bi-weekly settlements.
  • Support dispatching operations by covering customer phone calls.
  • Prioritize multiple calls or tasks according to urgency and importance.
  • Sort and segregate parcels received at the hospital as required.
  • Complete desktop deliveries within the hospital as required.
  • Make deliveries as needed in personal or company vehicle (personal miles will be reimbursed).
  • The shift is from 8am-5pm with the potential for weekends and overtime.
Skills & Requirements:
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly speak to and listen to Contractors and Customers on the phone.
  • Multitasking: Ability to coordinate and work with multiple drivers at the same time to properly reconcile their settlement, handle changes in the daily schedule, and address customer concerns.
  • Data Entry Skills: Ability to enter data accurately into our courier application, as well as other applications like Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in billing, warehousing, or dispatch operations.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and train others.
  • Experience in data entry.
  • Ability to learn new computer applications.
  • Ability to lift, pull, move, and carry as much as 50 pounds.
  • Have driving record reviewed through a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Willingness to travel between various locations - Haymarket, Culpeper, Manassas on a weekly basis
Medical Requirements: Since this position requires work inside hospitals, urgent care practices, and other healthcare facilities, employees are required to have completed certain healthcare screens and receive necessary vaccinations. Below is the current list of required tests and vaccinations; this list is subject to change.
  • Pass a tuberculosis test.
  • Receive an annual Influenza ( Flu ) vaccination.
  • Be vaccinated against Measles, Mumps, and Rubella ( MMR ).
