Job Description:
Summit Medical Group is recruiting for an Operations Support Coordinator. This position assists in efficiently supporting all operational aspects of Summit Medical Group physician practices within the scope of policies established and authority delegated by the Director of Operations. This is a full time opportunity.Examples of Duties (List does not include all duties assigned)
  • Collaborates with Operations Manager and other departments to identify effective training for site personnel which improves operational effectiveness. Implementseffective training initiatives.
  • In collaboration with Operations Manager, creates and implements internal work plans and consulting services which assist Site Managers in effectively managingtheir practice site(s).
  • Supports flexible departmental structure to respond promptly and effectively to identified needs at the site level.
  • Continually identifies potential workflow and technology solutions to increase operational efficiency of the practice sites.
  • Collaborates with other departments to implement support programs for new technologies (e.g., EHR).
  • Provides interim site management services to support effective operation of sites without managers.
  • Implements programs to develop Site Managers and minimize Site Manager turn over.
  • Assists with operational support for practices in crisis or with emergent operational needs.
  • Maintains strong relationship with Site Managers throughout network.
  • Coordinates due diligence for physician partnership and practice acquisitions.
  • Integrates newly acquired practice sites into Summit.
  • Assists with development of new site facilities.
  • Supports development of new service lines within sites.
  • Participates in professional development activities to keep current with healthcare trends and practices.
  • At all times represents Summit Medical Group with professionalism to public,vendors, physicians, etc.
  • Continually displays exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reports for work at time scheduled and is regular in attendance.
  • Adheres to all appropriate aspects of the corporate compliance program.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality.
  • Actively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities. Each employee will contribute to the continual evaluation site performance as well as theimplementation and measurement of improvement activities that increase the quality of care provided to patients.
  • Performs related work as assigned.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in health or business administration or equivalent experience required.
  • Clinical background or experience preferred.
  • Lean or process improvement certification preferred.
Experience
  • Management / leadership experience within a clinical setting required, large practice preferred.
  • Business growth experience required.
  • Financial / budget experience required.
  • Project management experience required / acquisition management a plus.
  • EHR experience required. Athena experience preferred.
  • Training / presentation experience a plus.
  • Excel knowledge required.
  • Data analysis experience required.
  • OSHA experience preferred.
Certification/License
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred.
  • Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) certification preferred.
