Job Description:

The Operation Support Specialist will play a key role in assisting wind operations management by assuring the highest level of safety, health and environmental standards while achieving maximum production and profitability. The Operation Support Specialist will support operation activities for maintenance projects and inventory management to ensure long-term reliability of wind energy assets.

Work with engineers, technicians, site managers, and operations management to support operational work order/task management activities:

* Onboarding of new sites to CMMS program (Maintainly)

* Creation of maintenance schedules using existing OEM and owner guidance

* Ensure supporting documentation is complete and perform documentation QC

* Ensure that work activities are associated with the correct assets for proper scheduling.

* Ensure that inventory and configuration information is provided and transacted appropriately for internal and external analysis and reporting metrics, such as tools, materials, labor, spare parts on all work orders, for verifying the authenticity of the material, and labor costs

* Ensure understanding of inventory controls and material receiving and issuing, and maintain ability to work within project accounting implications of these control and measures

* Establish, monitor, and adjust inventory levels, re-order points to align with requirements (budgets, agreements, fault trends etc.)

* Support workflow management and provide execution oversight for created maintenance schedules, emergent unplanned repair work

* Support workflow reviews to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and better align data generated to improve reporting accuracy and capabilities

* Support asset registry (configuration data) alignment, ensuring all asset information is entered / aligned to relevant data bases correctly and consistently

* Answer inquiries about work order status, equipment maintenance history, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance activities

* Support procurement, site managers, and engineering for standard operational needs and RFP package buildouts, including gathering material documents, specifications, etc.

* Maintain strong, collaborative, professional relationships with multiple vendors offering both similar and specific products and services for multiple turbine platforms

* The ability to prioritize between tasks

Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent

* 2+ year of wind tech or equivalent experience

* 2+ years of CMMS system experience

* Ability to work effectively in office and field locations, when required.

* Capable of contributing in a team environment with asset managers, engineers, site personnel, and third party contractors.

Willingness to travel:

* 10-15%

Work Location: In person at Cohocton, NY or Steel Winds (Lackawanna, NY)
