Be part of what's next!Oil States Piper is currently looking for qualified candidates for the position ofOPERATIONS SUPPORT SPECIALISTOKLAHOMA CITY, OKIn our organization, the Operations Support Specialist has a critical and challenging role in helping achieve innovation and meeting our commitments by providing administrative support for the OSI-OKC Piper Operations and Planning groups.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support OSI-OKC operations with administrative support to include but not limited to reporting, data analysis, and scheduling.
  • Create required paperwork and release work order packets to production for made to stock and sales orders as needed.
  • Perform operational transactions and reporting functions as needed within the ERP system.
  • Scan and/or print drawing/document transmittals for machine shop and procurement.
  • Scan completed made to stock work orders and upload into the document control system.
  • Organize details provided by Buyers and transmit Request for Quote packages to component vendors.
  • Perform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with updates to the lean site weekly and rolling presentations as necessary.
  • Update and maintain key performance indicator files for Operations indicators regularly.
  • Lead and Administer the Tag Control and Ticket flow to accounting for the Annual Physical Inventory.
  • Compile weekly open order reporting packages and send to suppliers.
  • Compile productivity reporting packages as needed.
  • Compile gross requirement information for inquiries received from Sales.
  • Review and analyze purchase order data to ensure all aspects are included in the document control file.
  • Assist with scheduling of supplier visits onsite as well as visits to supplier facilities.
  • Maintain and update supplier information within OSI-OKC systems as necessary.
  • Effectively and efficiently use time to safely perform duties.
  • Complete all paperwork in required manner and time frame.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn to produce new products, use new procedures, and embrace and support change.
  • Follow and support established HSE programs.
  • Report any unsafe situations to appropriate Management Team member if necessary.
  • All other duties or tasks as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
  • Demonstrated ability to present a welcoming attitude and high level of customer service both in person and over the telephone.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent organization and team-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain constructive working relationships with people.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects daily in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to speak, write and read English.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team on a broad variety of projects.
  • Willingness to work additional hours to meet tight deadlines.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of work experience, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must obtain and maintain Authorized Driver status as defined by the Oil States Company Vehicles and Drivers policy.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Extended walking, sitting, and/or standing.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
  • Extended use of electronic equipment to include but not limited to telephone, computer, monitors, keyboard, mouse, scanner, and printer.
  • Extended use of company designated software programs to include but not limited to ERP, project time tracking software, employee time tracking software, office productivity software packages, and data acquisition software.
  • Potential to drive company vehicles or personal vehicles for business purposes.
QUALITY/CUSTOMER SERVICE IMPLICATIONS
  • Directly impacts workplace safety through active participation in OSI-OKC Piper HSE programs and safe work practices.
  • Directly impact customer service via face-to-face and telephone interactions with vendors and guests.
