Potters Industries, Palestine, TX is looking for a night shift Operations Tech. This position pays $18.00 per hour, plus $1.00 per hour night premium. We will also pay you for a 30-minute lunch break! Our benefit starts on the 1st of the month after working 30 days.Can you meet the Minimum requirements below?High School Diploma/GED Post High School Technical School or College a PlusOne plus years of experience in an industrial environment, manufacturing preferred.One plus years of experience working a forklift, certification preferred.If you want to learn a new skill, start a career not a job, submit your resume today.The Operations Tech - places safety 1st and then preps, monitors, maintains manufacturing equipment pertaining to the furnace and/or crushing operation for the plant.Current initial target area for this Operation Tech I position is in the Furnace operations. Safely performs audits, samples and records data from furnace operations, uses said data to determine safest and most productive results. Understands role in safely maintaining quality control in the furnace area. Take responsibility and action in a timely manner.Operations Tech's also assist in control of the cullet pile and loads cullet into the plant shredder system; Removes contamination revealed in cullet to prevent equipment plug-up and quality issues - reports significant issues to management or lead operator; Operates the front-end loader in a safe and efficient manner; performs shift checks on loader and re-fueling as required; Inspects VSIMs and performs wear part changeouts as needed; Performs quality checks on raw material production, logging analyses, and taking action if an issue is detected; Operates forklifts in a safe and efficient manner; performs shift checks on as required. Performs maintenance activities in the Operations areas; Troubleshoot or diagnose equipment issues in the Furnace and crushing Dept; Monitors tank, bin & silo levels of grains and or beads throughout the operations areas and takes action to prevent issues; Monitors dryer operations and gas rates to ensure the process is operating efficiently ; Routinely monitors environmental conditions in the plant and takes appropriate investigative & corrective actions as needed. Consistently ensures compliance to environmental permits and Good Neighbor principles by monitoring baghouse emissions and other potential leak sources of glass dust; Assists other operators as required to help achieve departmental goals; Takes RM tank readings and operates sifting equipment to maintain proper RM levels to support the crushing or furnace operations; Maintains accurate logs and electronically documents cullet/grinding/furnace related data. Safely performs additional duties assigned and or as required.Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 per hourBenefits:
