Overview:
Pembina US Corporation's Alliance Pipeline is recruiting a Technician, Operations to join the team. This position will support the Minot Area and will report to the Supervisor, Operations in the Transmission Business Unit, part of Pembina's Pipeline Division.
Pembina has grown its Transmission Pipeline assets by acquiring critical natural gas and refined product transportation infrastructure assets. The transmission pipelines enable customers to access high-value markets mainly on a fee-for-service basis under long-term contracts through long-distance pipelines.
The Alliance Pipeline system consists of a 3,848-kilometre (2,391-mile) integrated Canadian and U.S. natural gas transmission pipeline system, delivering rich natural gas from the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and the Williston Basin to the Chicago market hub. The pipeline first began operating in 2000 and was acquired by Pembina Pipeline Corporation in 2024.
This position will be located in Minot, Towner, or Tioga North Dakota
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
* Support Pembina's safety culture of Zero by Choice and the Life Saving Rules . To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina.com/safety;
* Will work as part of a team with primary role as a technician, assisting in compressor station and meter station operations, and other trades when and where needed;
* Routine pipeline operations and maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting failures, repair of compressor/meter station mechanical equipment, electrical troubleshooting and repair, and various tasks and projects;
* Locating and marking Alliance facilities per Pembina's Damage Prevention Program and One Call procedures prior to and during excavation;
* Ensure all maintenance and operations duties are completed safely, in compliance with Pembina's procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices;
* Provide oversight and inspection to ensure asset protection and compliance with company procedures of excavation activities near pipeline facilities;
* Participate in a 7-day on-call rotation responding as required to equipment and/or operational problems;
* Occasional overnight travel will be required;
* Ability and willingness to work overtime on an as needed basis;
* Maintain safe and reliable operations of the facilities;
* Able to work in teams effectively and encourage a positive work environment;
* Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (respirator, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, fire resistant clothing, heeled safety-toe boots, and hearing protection);
* Communicates safety issues to Supervisors and Safety Department;
* Effective decision-making skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills;
* Contribute to a team environment that values inclusion & diversity;
* A willingness and desire to work outdoors;
* Any other duties assigned by Supervisor; and

Qualifications:
* Relatable work experience within the energy industry preferred;
* Hands-on experience with various computer applications;
* Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills;
* Self-motivated, ability to work under limited supervision;
* Ability to work well in a team coupled and engage positively interfacing with various personnel;
* Ability to perform and direct safe and efficient operations with adaptability;
* Results oriented with a flexible & adaptable approach to change; and
* Possess a valid driver's license.

Must live within 60 miles of the asset.
