David's Medical Center family! We are looking for an enthusiastic Special Procedures Technologist to help us reach our goals. Under the leadership of the Lead Interventional Technologist, this role provides technical assistance to all physicians working in the Interventional Suites with both diagnostic and interventional procedures. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to care provided to all age groups of patients in area, ranging from neonate to geriatric. Participates in performance improvement activities within the Interventional department and participates in CQI activities. This position requires compliance with all Joint Commission, state, federal, Corporate Radiation Right, and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols. Must possess critical thinking skills and strive to create and maintain great relationships with all facility stakeholders.Demonstrate proficiency with all equipment within the Interventional Suite procedure room including but not limited to: Fluoroscopy, Pan Table, Med Rad injector, Monitors, Ultrasound Unit, Control panels for digital acquisition and image transfer.Demonstrate sterile technique as appropriate and maintain sterile field while performing scrub positionPerform role of circulator during procedure including: pull supplies, altering technique as phase of exam requires, man and operate injector, communicate to patient family/unit progress, and answer physician calls/pages during procedure.Associate Degree or graduate from an accredited Radiological Technology Program (ARRT)~Licensed Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) with the Texas Medical Board (TMB)David's HealthCare policyDavid's Medical Center stands as a leading 435-bed facility, offering specialized care in neurology, neurosurgery, cardiac services, bariatric surgery, orthopedics, maternity and newborn services, and rehabilitation.
