We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Training Specialist to join our L&D team. You will help drive coaching and training for our payroll and ops support teams ranging from Payroll Specialists, Tax Specialists, and Benefit Specialist across small to mid-sized businesses.
Preferred location for this role will be in the Central time zone.

How I will contribute
As the Operations Training Specialist, you will be responsible for providing training that
promotes accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Your primary focus will be on designing and delivering comprehensive training programs that cover aspects of payroll operations including support, products, systems, processes, and best practices.
* Develop and execute training for new hire onboarding and ongoing education programs
that aligns the training department with organizational goals.
* Design engaging training materials including video walkthroughs, presentations, job
aids, knowledge tests, and other relevant resources to facilitate effective learning and
skill development.
* Deliver training via virtual live sessions, e-learnings, and in-person as needed.
* Become an expert in the learning management system known as Asure University.
* Provide individual and team coaching to operations staff to reinforce learning and
enhance performance.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations Hubs, HR, Marketing,
Product, IT and other departments to ensure alignment on training initiatives.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback,
performance metrics, and continuously improve training programs.
* Monitor and track the progress of training initiatives and report on training outcomes and
performance indicators to management.
* Organize and facilitate year-end training for our payroll teams.
* Create and facilitate training readiness programs for additional career certifications.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
* 4+ years, experience in operations as trainer or similar training role
* Experience training with Payroll, Human Capital Management (HCM), or Human
Resources.
* Excellent instructional design and content development skills.
* Technology savviness with experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe PDF,
Articulate 360 and/or other content creation tools, Salesforce or other CRM systems.
* Strong presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire an audience.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to assess training needs, evaluate training
effectiveness, and analyze performance data.
* Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and establish credibility with trainees and
stakeholders.
* Organizational and project management skills to manage multiple training initiatives
simultaneously.
* Occasional travel as needed.
Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $80,000-$85,000 depending upon level of experience.
