DescriptionAlliance Water Resources is a growing water and wastewater contract operations company with an open Operator I position at Neosho, MO.This is manual and skilled work involving the operation of water and wastewater treatment facilities and related equipment. The work is performed under general supervision with the ability to perform tasks independently. Work schedule is Friday-Monday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, with On-Call and Standby time.Qualifications:
- Knowledge of practices, methods, tools, materials, and equipment relating to water treatment activities and distribution/collection systems.
- Knowledge of safety standards and precautions pertaining to the use and operation of motorized equipment and tools.
- Ability to make repairs on a variety of plant equipment and distribution/collection systems.
- Knowledge of and ensures state and federal standards and regulations governing water treatment and collection are met.
- Ability to read meters and gauges and interpret findings.
- Ability to work weekends and long hours.
- Ability to use and maintain tools, equipment, and computers associated with water system operations.
- Ability to read, write, and possess good communication skills.
- Read and comprehend written instructions, job orders, etc.; complete forms and write notices
- Visually assess construction, maintenance and repair needs
- Ability to perform tasks independently.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers, clients, vendors, and the general public.
- Ability on a daily basis to:
- Grasp, lift, maneuver, rotate small to large hand tools.
- Perform heavy labor, including standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and digging
- Ability to work in confined spaces and wear appropriate safety equipment
- Grasp, lift, carry, turn, twist, move equipment, controls and part up to 100lbs. set down objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Climb and work from ladders and stairs
- Perform outside work in extreme weather conditions
- Be exposed to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes and/or potentially hazardous chemicals
Requirements
- Water Treatment D or higher or the ability to acquire within 1 year
- A regular driver license
- Mechanical ability
- Attention to detail
