The Operator monitors multiple pieces of equipment during the operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops. Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace
- Follow established safety rules and regulations
- Recognize, avoid, and where possible eliminate hazards within the workplace
- Attention to detail
- Perform various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on assigned machines
- Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected
- Inventory control
- Loading trucks and/or railcars.
- Operating process equipment via HMI's.
- Work with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order
QUALIFICATIONSCompetencies and ExperienceRequired:
- Prior experience in heavy industry, construction or similar field
- Basic computer skills
- Basic mechanical skills and aptitude
EducationRequired:
- High school diploma or equivalent
