The ideal candidate will have experience with excavators and dozers.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESActivities may include, but are not limited to operating all forms of earthmoving equipment, friction and hydraulic cranes, forklifts, small hand tools, cleaning, preventative maintenance and minor repairs to equipment. Environment is exclusively outside, thus the job often involves all weather extremes. Work requires alert individual with good eyesight, hearing, balance, and physical strength. Crane operators must meet physical requirements established by applicable ASME/ANSI standards.Safely transports and moves equipment as assigned, using lifts and forkliftsKeeps the lot clean and organized as instructed by managementProfessionally maintains and cleans equipment as assignedSupports technicians in completing tasks as neededSetting wood, concrete, vinyl, and sheet pilings for dock supports, seawall slabs, house foundations, etc.Dredging using a clam bucket or drag-line as well as hook workRigging for above activities as well as for other types of material and equipment loadsAssembly and disassembly of the crane and barge for maintenance or mobile projectsPerform daily maintenance of crane, barge, and propulsion equipmentTroubleshoot any issues associated with the crane, barge, and propulsion equipmentSafely and effectively operate various types and sizes of heavy civil construction equipment including but not limited to dozers, tractors, scrapers, loaders and excavators.Follow all company safety policies and procedures.Operate equipment in an efficient manner and follow instruction of on-site management.Follow all equipment monitoring and maintenance requirements.Completes all other tasks as requested by managementMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 5 years' of experience as an operator on Marine/Heavy Civil construction projects.NCCCO CertifiedProficiency in pre-shift inspections and able to identify mechanical issues.Industry level knowledge of safety and work site hazardsAbility to operate both hydraulic and friction cranes.Ability to operate cranes performing duty cycle work.Understand construction safety standards and productively work safely.Willing to work out of town and travel to project locations.Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.Availability and willingness to work weekends and night shifts per business needs.Availability and willingness to work out of town and travel to project location.WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOUInclusive Medical, Dental, Vision, Accident, Disability, and Illness insuranceHealth Savings Account contribution of up to $1,000 per year401(k) retirement savings program with a company matchEmployee Assistance Program including discounts with major vendors & productsMental and physical wellness programsCareer advancement opportunities with a stable well-established organizationSJ Hamill Construction, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
