The Garland Team is seeking a Operator on Third (3) Shift.

Major Position Responsibilities:

Position: Operator - Paint

Shift: 3rd

Pay: $21.34 hourly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ability to perform work as required on production line within time standard for each operation
  • Ability to use small hand tools as required.
  • Capability of learning use of standard measuring equipment as required by job duties.
  • Must be capable of following simple work instructions and be willing to work in multiple areas as required by rotating assignments.

Basic Qualifications:

Skills and qualifications required include the following but are not limited to:

  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience in Paint department
  • Ability to use small hand tools and operate a forklift when required testing has been successfully completed.
  • Conventional Paint guns and associated equipment, drying ovens, and/or miscellaneous equipment related to job tasks.
  • Functional math skills required to complete job tasks.
  • Ability to learn the use of all gages and instruments required to related job tasks.
  • Ability to input data into CIMA for accurate labor reporting.
  • Adhere to plant safety rules, recognize and bring to the attention of supervision potential safety hazards, and implement corrective actions to unsafe practices and/or conditions.
  • High school education or equivalent.

Work environment:

  • Elevated temperatures, thick smoke, dirt and grease.
  • Physically able to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Handling materials up to 900 degrees with proper tools.
  • High paced production environment to meet standards.
