What you'll do as an Operator Telecom Construction
- You will safely operate drill equipment on jobsite which may include but not limited to the following: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer
- You will restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
- You will develop and maintain a bore schedule
- You will be responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
- You will load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck
- You will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis - JSA prior to starting construction
- You will set up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic
What you'll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- You have a valid standard Driver's License or a Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement
- You have an MVR record that is deemed acceptable by the company
- You are able to maintain a safe work environment
- You are able to work in all weather conditions
- You are able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance
- You are able to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on-call
- You are experienced with drilling equipment and understand their capabilities and limitations
- You are able to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilities
- You may have experience with drill set up and design processes
- You may able to read and understand work orders, safety rules and operating instructions
- You are able to climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects
- You may have previous construction or utility construction experience

- Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include but are not limited to: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus potentially near and/or far as needed. Employees in this job classification may be exposed to dust, fumes or other airborne pathogens.
- Employees may be exposed to toxic or corrosive chemicals as well as moving machinery parts and pieces. Remote work may be required; long driving and sitting will be required. The noise level in the work environment for this position is moderate.
