For more information click on our E-Verify Website ( .Requisition No: 840315Agency: Department of HealthWorking Title: OPS HEALTH SUPPORT SPECIALIST - 64853853Pay Plan: TempPosition Number: 64853853Salary: $18.54 per hourPosting Closing Date: 11/13/2024Total Compensation Estimator Tool ( CompetitiveYour Specific Responsibilities:Accurately determines income eligibility of current and potential WIC Program participants based on Federal, State income guidelines and input data into computer system.Obtains demographic data through telephone and face-to-face interviews with clients and accurately inputs data into computer system.Issues WIC Program benefits in accordance with procedures.Schedules appointments for WIC Program clients.Provides a limited amount of nutrition education in the form of WIC quarterly newsletters. Provides clients access to literature and guidance pertaining to breastfeeding, immunizations, and substance abuse (alcohol, tobacco, drugs).Offers the opportunity for voter registration to each eligible parent/participant at certification. Ensures a voter registration preference form for each applicable participant is completed and maintained according to procedure.Performs anthropometric on WIC clients using the correct anthropometric techniques. Performs hematological screening on WIC clients as needed.Maintains equipment as necessary; responsible for calibrating all equipment used for weighing, measuring, and performing hematological screening following the procedures.Maintains a log of all hematological equipment.Maintains documentation of all calibrations.Cleans labs area and equipment daily. Creates and maintains client folders and obtains required documents for certifications used by the clerical staff.Accurately completes all required forms and reports including but not limited to Employee Activity Report, Leave and Attendance Record, Leave Authorization forms and travel logs by required deadlines.
