Assist in efficiently moving work through the departmentMaintain company safety standardsMaintain a clean workstationAssist and cooperate with other departmentsTypically has the following skills or abilities:Experience working in a fast-paced environmentOne to two years of manufacturing, production, or optical tech experienceDemonstrated knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the functions of an Optical Technician (Level 1)Must be able to work any shift, time, and dayAbility to meet department standards for productivity and qualityAbility to communicate at a level necessary to accomplish the above tasksGood manual dexterity and hand/eye coordinationAbility to perform physical activities requiring bending, kneeling and pulling/pushingAbility to recognize and distinguish colorsThe working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust etc.The working environment is well lighted and ventilated. Individuals are typically required to stand for long periods of time. Noise and dust from power-grindingmachinery and other equipment is to be expected.
