We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team!
As an Optometrist, you will provide comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages. Your primary responsibility will be to perform eye examinations, diagnose vision problems, and prescribe corrective lenses or other treatments as necessary. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and optical sales. Experience in ophthalmology, senior care, aseptic technique, and medical records management is also highly desirable.
*Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and detect any abnormalities or vision problems - Diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases - Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, or other visual aids based on individual patient needs
*Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care - Educate patients on proper eye care practices and answer any questions or concerns they may have - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient - Stay current with advancements in optometry practices and technologies
*Skills: - Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to optometry - Proficiency in anatomy and understanding of the structure and function of the eye - Experience in optical sales and ability to recommend appropriate eyewear options for patients - Familiarity with ophthalmology procedures and treatments - Understanding of senior care principles and ability to provide specialized eye care for elderly patients - Knowledge of aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during procedures - Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation purposes
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care
