The OR Team Assistant will perform various patient care activities and related services under the direction of the professional staff.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* High School graduate or GED equivalent.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Computer skills preferred.
* Multi-focal ability to work quickly and efficiently in fast-paced, high-stress area.
Required Length and Type of Experience
One year of related experience working in the healthcare field
Required Licensure and Certification
BLS certified.
Required Physical and Environmental Demands
The OR Team Assistant requires the ability to walk six to eight miles in an eight-hour shift and to lift or carry objects weight up to 50 pounds. This job also requires that an individual be able to work under periods of high stress and in a consistently fast-paced environment. Exposure to communicable disease and/or body fluids.
