Growing together.This manager-level role will lead clinical application teams and manage day-to-day operations for a team of Oracle Health (Cerner) resources within our EHR Services practice. This role will be required to support complex cross-functional teams, implement, and improve standard processes and tools to guide operational efficiencies while building out our Oracle Health Center of Excellence (COE) within EHR Services. The Oracle Health Clinical Manager will have responsibility for the success of multiple client engagements and overall operational and financial performance of clinical applications within the Oracle Health COE.The Oracle Health Clinical Manager will help create and foster a culture of diversity and inclusion within a new and growing service line for Optum. The Manager/Lead must be a self-motivated individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in team environments.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Manage a team of Oracle Health analysts and consultants, and serve as a mentor, resource, and primary advisor for all direct reportsSupervise Oracle Health application design, configuration, and maintenance activities for clinical applicationsImplement appropriate service delivery models for clinical application functions in defining, delivering, and improving services for the organizationCollaborate with end users to design and maintain the Oracle Health system in a timely and professional manner and suggest corrective configuration or enhancementsDetermine staffing requirements, perform capacity planning for resources and supervise the work of direct reports to ensure that team is functioning effectively and efficientlyProvide support for application incidents reported through the help desk; including 24/7 on call coverage as requiredDevelop, recommend, and ensure that team operates within project and department budget guidelinesIdentify system optimization and enhancement opportunities and collaborate with vendors and other IT analysts in order to design and implement effective solutionsManage in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Oracle Health softwareWork with trainers to develop and maintain application specific training curriculum and materialsAdhere to organization standards for system configuration and change controlDevelop solid relationships with end user communities, customers and business partnersFacilitate communication with stakeholders from initial requirements to final implementationUtilize data, industry trends, and best practices to support the development of consulting methodologies that will address current challenges facing health systems related to the adoption and use of health IT as well as driving achievement toward client-specific organizational objectives and strategic goals.Assess opportunities for technology improvements with data in collaboration with clinician feedback to understand workflows, define problems, and recommend and implement clinical solutionsSupport the development and adoption of standards for evidenced-based care practice and collaborate with the training team to create education or training materials as appropriateYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:7+ years of combined experience across HealthCare and/or IT domains5+ years of experience working with Oracle Health configuration3+ years of experience with resource management and/or large-scale project managementProven knowledge of metrics, KPIs and process improvement techniques relative to these areasProficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePointAbility to travel up to 25% annually. Travel may be lower depending on project requirementsPreferred Qualifications:Certifications in Oracle Health, Service Management, Project Management, or Business Analysis4 + years of clinical experience preferred e.g., RN, RT, NP, PA or operational support experienceIn-depth knowledge of EHR and the full implementation lifecycle of an electronic medical record application from conception through development into productionProven excellent team management, communication, curriculum delivery and leadership skills and a commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion and a culture of innovation*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyCalifornia, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
