Order Department Supervisor

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Level: Salaried

Division / Department: Sales and Business Development / Order Team

Reports to: Sales Support Manager

Travel: Occasional (Markets, Regional Meetings, as needed)

About the Role:

The position is responsible for the daily supervision of the Order Department staff. This individual must possess high personal work standards including accuracy, completeness, efficiency, timeliness, and professionalism. They must display drive and enthusiasm; must be self-motivated, embrace change and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The individual must possess excellent communication skills both oral and written, and must be goal-oriented, able to work independently, possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask; must be resourceful in solving problems and be flexible if an alternative course of action is needed.

Responsibilities:

* Daily supervision of Order Department staff. This included assigning projects, managing day-to-day tasks, scheduling, and conducting regular performance evaluations.

* Heavy integration into the Small Parcel order and support processes with a focus on efficiency.

* Develop and provide training and documentation for the Order Support team.

* Maintain strong knowledge and clearly communicate company policies and procedures relating to ordering, such as Comprehensive Member Services, substitution, reserving, employee orders, small parcel orders, etc.

* Assist with the decommissioning process of the mainframe hosted applications.

* Assist in communicating programs and services information to the field staff.

* Handling general inquiries from field staff, internal staff, members, and prospects about programs and services.

* Handling complaints/disagreements from members and coming up with solutions.

* Controlling expenses to budget, and maintaining fiscal efficiencies for the department.

* Maintaining a safe work environment for the Order department through education, communication, and accountability.

* Participation in various inter-departmental committees and special projects as requested by management.

Education and Experience

* Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in business, management, marketing, or related field

* Retail experience in the home improvement industry

* Previous management/supervisory experience

* Previous Do it Best experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

* Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills

* Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of G Suite applications.

* Excellent project management and presentation skills

* Solid managerial and leadership skills

* Ability to direct and motivate a diverse group of staff

* Capable of conflict resolution

* Ability to effectively collaborate and lead others

* Positive attitude and upbeat personality

Additional Considerations:

* Understanding of three-step distribution and co-op business model

* Experience in using and understanding a CRM program.

* In-depth knowledge of Do it Best Corp. systems, services, and programs
