Are you interested in growing your career? Apply today! The Order Entry Pharmacy Technician ensures all prescriptions are entered, filled and prepared for delivery accurately and timely under the supervision of a Staff Pharmacist.Qualifications:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the state of Missouri, Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
- 2+ years of pharmacy experience, preferably in long-term care pharmacy, retail, mail order, and/or hospital
- Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D required
- Must have excellent customer service attitude and a professional demeanor with strong communication skills
- Positive attitude and self-motivated
- Excellent computer skills, including pharmacy operations system (FrameworkLTC experience preferred), and moderate-to-strong comprehension of Microsoft Word/Excel
- Ability to problem solve and prioritize workflow to meet deadlines when necessary
- Work quickly and efficiently to achieve all the daily tasks and at sometimes go above and beyond to support the team
- Must be accurate and have a great attention to detail
- Must know HIPPA laws in regard to the privacy, confidentially, and security of patient information.
- Flexible schedule required
Responsibilities:
- Assists the Pharmacist by accurately performing order entry, order fulfillment, and delivery preparation of medications
- Communicate with nursing staff, physician's offices, and other team members in a professional manner with the goal of providing outstanding service
- Communicate with third party payers to resolve rejected claims
- Receives daily inventory from wholesaler and assists with identifying soon-to-expire and outdated inventory for return
- Assists with full quarterly inventory
- Calls third party payers to ensure correct processing
- Other duties may be assigned as needed

- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
