Order Entry Certified Pharmacy Technician - Part Time Daylight shifts (Non-Remote)

$20/HR

Must be PTCB Certified

Responsibilities:
  • Calculates and/or verifies the correct dosage based on the prescription
  • Enters new and refill orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Receives written prescription or refill requests. Ensures and verifies that information is complete and accurate
  • Process orders based on the priority assigned for daily workflow
  • Prepare backup pharmacy orders
  • Provide dispensing pharmacists with information regarding allergies and drug interactions, therapeutic duplication other items that the computer flags
  • Answer and process incoming calls and emails in a professional and timely manner
  • Courteously assists all internal and external customers
  • Consults with dispensing pharmacist regarding prescription order clarification, non-stock items, order entry problems or concerns
  • Complete all data fields according to pharmacy procedures including use of approved abbreviations
  • Assists with special projects as needed
  • Responsible for uncompromising levels of cleanliness and safety
  • Performs all job duties with a friendly positive and team-oriented approach
  • Maintains professional/technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities
  • Complies with all Company policies, procedures, rules and standards
  • Ability to adapt to a fast pace environment
  • Efficiently maneuver through various computer systems and on-line resources
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of pharmacy experience
  • Must be dependable and have dependable transportation
  • Must be proficient with computer functions and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Medical/pharmacy terminology brand and generic names of medications
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Intermediate typing skills
  • Strong work ethic and team player
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong listening skills
