The Order Fulfillment role is responsible for entering customer and account data from source documents; compiling, verifying accuracy and sorting information to prepare for order fulfillment, shipping, and invoicing. The Order Processor and Customer Engagement Representative will receive orders, requests for quotes, and lead times from customers. This role requires direct communication with customers and vendors to ensure orders are filled with care. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Receives and handles requests from customers and distributors for price quotes, purchase orders, order adjustments, and order cancellations.
  • Builds rapport with customers and works to ensure they receive excellent service.
  • Provides pricing, delivery, and other order information to customers.
  • Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls for new orders to confirm information to process orders.
  • Uses computer database (WMS) to retrieve necessary customer information, inventory information, and purchase order status.
  • Drafts purchase orders and invoices to submit to both vendors and the accounting department.
  • Maintains files of active orders and updates with changes to customer accounts or orders.
  • As required, assists in inventory management and purchasing for key customers and vendors.
  • As required, confirms credit status of customers with financial/credit department.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Excellent and precise data entry and typing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn database and ordering systems.
  • Data entry experience a plus.
Education and Experience:
  • Associates Degree required, Bachelor preferred or the equivalent of related work experience.
  • One year of experience in customer service or order processing required.
