Order Fulfillment SupervisorYou make sure it gets done right, and you do that by creating trusting relationships and leading by example. You are responsible to make sure your team is performing their jobs safely.The day to day (italics indicate essential function)Your day begins in the late afternoon and ends in the early morning. Your team may work anywhere between an 8-to-12-hour shift. You are ready to go before shift start-up at 3:00 pm.If orders don't get pulled correctly, you understand the problems that causes our customers and branches, so you ensure the accurate and efficient pulling of all external and branch customer orders.You work to make sure the drivers have a great day, so you ensure their trucks are loaded accurately and safely, with an eye on their safety and convenience as well when they make deliveries. You ensure the administrative end of things is completed such as adjusting routing as needed, processing paperwork for next day deliveries, approving your team's timecards and vacation requests, handling emailed requests and questions, and anything else that pertains to your overall responsibilities.You are the leader on the night shift. You handle emergencies, housekeeping, or maintenance issues. You are empowered to make the right call for any situation that comes your way.What you haveShipping experience. You know how it's supposed to work.You are a natural leader. You understand that as a leader, you are a servant to your team and work to ensure their success.Attention to details. You make sure your team pulls what is ordered, and you ensure mistakes are kept to a minimum. Physical ability to be on your feet for several hours, the ability to push and pull carts, the ability to lift product (up to 50 lbs). Obsessive attention to safety for yourself and your team. Monday- Friday. You arrive with plenty of time to talk about what's going on with the 1st shift supervisor and to prep the shift start-up meeting. The shift start-up meeting is at 3:00 pm. The shift lasts from 8-12 hours, and it varies seasonally.
