PRIMARY DUTIES (5-7 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)
Safely locate, inspect and transport material to and from the work area
Follow sales order/customer specific instructions to correctly pack parts to ensure that product is delivered to customer intact and on time
Read information from and enter information into handheld scanners
Safely load product onto carts and pallets
Participate in meetings and projects
Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work area
Other duties as assigned
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / QUALIFICATIONS:
Key Accountabilities:
Ensure that products are picked and packaged in accordance to customer and Dorman requirements
Accurately locate, identify and differentiate part numbers, vendor codes and package markings
Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy standards in performance of job duties
Adhere to all company policies, job procedures and safety and security standards
Qualifications:
* Ability to work well with others in a team-based environment
* Ability to recognize number patterns, add, subtract, multiply and divide
* Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
* Understand and speak fluent English
* Ability to operate a hand-held scanner to read and accurately input information
* Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and demonstrate a sense of urgency
* Willingness to work overtime, as required
* Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up 50 pounds on a regular basis
* Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items. Noise level is usually moderate.
