Who we are: D&L Parts Company, formerly known as D&L Appliance Parts, was established in 1955. Our American, family-owned company was created for the everyday handyman in need of the right parts, but unwilling to pay big box stores prices. Over the last 65 years, we realized the contractor's emerging need for an all in one Parts, Tools, Appliances, and HVAC distributor. Our company took this as a challenge to create a store that fulfills everyone's needs while staying true to our original purpose. To accomplish this, we expanded our locations, inventory, and product lines. Currently, we have 28 convenient locations across the Carolinas and Virginia. We distribute both wholesale and retail, repair/replacement parts, accessories, maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment for major Appliances, Refrigeration, Residential, Light Commercial, Heating, and Air Conditioning brands. Since the beginning, D&L has devoted to servicing all customers from the do-it-yourselfers (DIY) to servicers, and contractors. No matter the size job, we are there every step of the way. The Order Puller/Packer enables efficient delivery to our branches and customers by picking, pulling, packing, and shipping fulfillment work. The fulfillment team is responsible for reading incoming orders and selecting the correct items from the warehouse shelves before staging them for delivery. Their duties include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other tools, updating inventory counts, and counting out the appropriate number of goods to fulfill an order. You will be responsible for filling (pulling/packing) branch and customer orders and prepare for shipment, performing inventory counts, and maintaining lot control. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and that all safety procedures are followed. Additionally, the Order Puller/Packer verifies that sufficient inventory is available to fill orders. Maintains daily activity and productivity reports using designated systems. Responsibilities
  • Discusses errors and works with team members to implement improvements
  • Picking orders and placing items in proper staging area to be prepared for shipment
  • Working in a team environment to efficiently package required orders
  • Organizing and maintaining staging areas with the fulfillment team
  • Building and stretching wrap pallets
  • Operating carts dollies, and other moving equipment to move large quantities of merchandise
  • Picking out ordered items from storage, shelves, or rooms using barcodes, serial numbers, etc.
  • Securely shrink-wrapping items before placing them in envelopes or boxes
  • Managing stock control, including item replenishment and storage
  • Fulfilling the customer's orders by locating the items listed on pick ticket
  • Look after the warehouse by organizing the stock in a systematic procedure
  • Responsible for labeling the inventories in the warehouse
  • Using different tools for locating and effectively packing the products
  • Transporting the products to the verifying area by using appropriate tools
  • Inspecting the inventory and isolating the defective products
  • Adhere to all the safety measures and abide to follow the rules and regulations at the workplace
  • Performing general warehouse duties as necessary
Additional Responsibilities
  • Performs basic quality assurance by inspecting goods and their containers for possible damage before packing them to be shipped.
  • Participates in Annual Inventory Prep and Inventory Activities
  • Operates within Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with D&L Company Policies and Handbook, including IT policies
  • Other duties and responsibilities as necessary for the business or as requested by Management

Education and/or Experience - High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior management and forklift experience, with stable, solid work history. Knowledge of appliance parts and HVAC parts is a plus. Skills and Abilities - Adherence to safety procedures. Ability to read/listen to and comprehend simple- moderately difficult instructions and understand complex, multi-step written or oral instructions. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Must be self-directed and able to work with little supervision. Must be able to operate basic office and warehouse equipment such as a scanner, computer, printer, calculator, fax machine, copier, etc. Computer/Internet proficiency. Forklift Certification
