Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Orderly to join our Surgery Department team. As an Orderly, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our surgical facilities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in adynamic healthcare environment.Responsibilities:* Assist with the preparation of operating rooms before and after surgical procedures.* Transport patients to and from surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort.* Set up and maintain sterile surgical equipment and supplies.* Stock and replenish surgical supplies and instruments.* Clean and sanitize surgical areas and equipment according to infection control standards.* Assist surgical team members as needed during procedures.* Dispose of biohazardous waste and hazardous materials properly.* Follow all hospital policies and procedures related to patient care and safety.Requirements:* High school diploma or equivalent.* Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Willingness to adhere to strict safety and infection control protocols.* Physical ability to lift and move patients and heavy equipment.* BLS (Basic Life Support) certification requiredPreferred Qualifications:* Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) is a plus.* Familiarity with medical terminology and surgical procedures.
