DescriptionOrientation Leader Responsibilities An Orientation Leader will:
- Attend and participate in training sessions for spring 2025
- Serve as a positive representative of the University to new, transfer and international students and their families.
- Facilitate new, transfer and international students' introduction to the University by maintaining open and effective communication techniques.
- Promote interaction among new, transfer and international students during small group discussions, icebreakers, meals, and evening activities.
- Answer student and parent questions about social and academic aspects of University life.
- Facilitate small group interactions on various topics at Orientation.
- Facilitate small activities for new students through direct involvement.
- Supervise activities while living among new students attending Orientation sessions that could violate Pace University policy (i.e. drugs and alcohol).
- Work closely and cooperate with other Orientation Leaders and staff to develop, prepare, implement, and evaluate the Orientation programs.
- Work closely with Student Engagement professional staff to assist and support all aspects of the Orientation program.
- All Orientation Leaders are required to provide administrative support for the program by maintaining office hours each week during employment at the Student Engagement office.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have served as an Orientation Leader during the Summer 2024 sessions.
