Southern Dental Alliance is looking for a Orthodontic Assistant to join our team As a Orthodontic Assistant you will ensure the Orthodontists are set up for success prior to interfacing with patients and during patient procedures The OA clearly communicates to Orthodontist the patients needsrequest and other education procedures diagnosis and treatment related matters prior to treatment The OA performs a variety of patient care office and laboratory duties in addition to performing work chair side as Orthodontist examines and treat patients and works proactively to ensure clinicalhygiene needs are met The OA is responsible for sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment preparing trays of instruments for orthodontic procedures and instructing patients on postoperative and general oral health care Minimum Eligibility Requirements High school diploma or GEDMust be detail oriented and organizedMust possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressureStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and desk top publishingAbility to multi task meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environmentAbility to work independently as well as with a teamExcellent verbal written and interpersonal skillsMust pass criminal background checkPreferred Education and Experience 1 year experience as an Orthodontic or Dental AssistantBilingual Spanish & EnglishCertified Orthodontic AssistantUse of dentalmedical technologyAbility to connect with patientsDriven and works with a sense of urgencyHas the ability to multi taskProfessional courteous and approachable demeanorAdditional Eligibility Requirements Current CPR certificationEmployee must submit to a post offer pre employment physical examinationmedical history checkEmployee may be required to submit to an annual Tuberculosis TB and Rubella screeningWe Offer Competitive Pay and Bonus PotentialMedica Vision and Dental coverage offeredAccident Coverage & Hospital Indemnity CoveragePaid Holidays and Vacation Time401k Life Insurance Short and Long Term DisabilityID theft protectionPet InsuranceEmployee DiscountsVSM Management LLC dba Southern Dental Alliance and all relevant Affiliates are Equal Opportunity Employers
