Working at Nassau County Correctional Center affiliated with NuHealth, you will be part of a strong, cohesive group of physicians, PAs, NPs, nurses, and ancillary staff. Health Services provides our Health Care workers with great hands-on experience, managing the care of a diverse and often underserved population.
Health Services at the Nassau County Correctional Center (NCCC) is operated by Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC). Health Services operates 24/7 with over 2,100 Health Care Provider (HCP) encounters each month, providing emergency, non-emergency, chronic, and specialty care to incarcerated individuals. Patients are seen throughout the day, much like an urgent care center combined with a primary care office setting. In addition, we have 24-hour access to consulting services and orthopedic attendings at Nassau University Medical Center.
