- OSF HealthCare Cardiovascular Institute is a group of 30 Cardiologists and 3 Cardiovascular Surgeons with a catchment area extending throughout the entire state of Illinois and surrounding regions
- Our Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology team is based out of our flagship hospital, OSF St. Francis Medical Center, a high-volume quaternary referral center with 642 beds, boasting the following:
- Comprehensive Advanced Heart Failure program with a fully-staffed and busy inpatient service and high-volume outpatient clinic
- CMS Certified Heart Transplant Program with tremendous growth potential
- CMS Certified LVAD Program with two Heart Failure surgeons implanting HeartMate 3
- ACGME Certified Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship with 9 General Cardiology fellowsand structured resident and medical student rotations.
- Regional Cardiogenic Shock referral center with surgical and interventional temporary Mechanical Circulatory Support services
- ELSO Certified Gold Level ECMO Program (VA and VV)
- Robust Interventional Cardiology program with comprehensive Structural Heart Disease program
- High-volume Electrophysiology program with expertise in high-risk endo/epicardial VT ablation

OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center, with 642 beds, is the fourth-largest medical center in Illinois. A major teaching affiliate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, it is the area's only Level I Trauma Center. It serves as the resource hospital for emergency medical services for north-central Illinois. It is home to Children's Hospital of Illinois and the Illinois Neurological Institute.
