  • Responsibility to ensure the smooth front of house operations.
  • Promotes a sophisticated and upscale dining experience for customers by creating a polished and accommodating first impression. Adheres to all Parx Casino service and operating standards.
  • Must be R.A.M.P and T.I.P.S certified.
  • Ensure the room is clean and tidy, ready for opening. Perform all pre and post meal set-up and close down work.
  • Answers the phone within three rings, makes reservations and provides service and assistance to customers at the Restaurant entrance. All customers warmly greeted with eye contact.
  • Facilitates the flow of the restaurant with customer seating assignments, special requests, special occasions, station assignments, employee breaks, etc.
  • Monitors table to ensure correctly set with all utensils, cutlery, glassware, condiments, etc... in place.
  • Possesses thorough knowledge of menu and daily special items and recommends food and wine selections to customers. Presents menu from the left side after guest has been seated.
  • Ensure all POS procedures are followed correctly and ensure open table reservation policy is followed.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of all of the services, promotions, and events that Parx Casino has to offer at any given time. Ensure servers are briefed regularly.
  • Ensure all Alcohol Awareness policies are observed by servers. Be aware of all Dram Shop ramifications.
  • Handles customer complaints, and, if necessary, solicits involvement and support from supervisor.
  • When necessary assists servers and server assistants in servicing tables.
  • Regularly walk the restaurant floor and ensure total customer satisfaction. Ensure it is clean and tidy at all times.
  • Be aware of the player card status of all Restaurant guests and deal with according to Company policies.
  • Manage all comp situations in conjunction with servers.
  • Develop and maintain an up to date knowledge of all Company events and promotions and ensure Restaurant Servers and Bus Persons are briefed accordingly.

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational and planning skills, and strong communication skills. Excellent telephone etiquette skills.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for a full 8 hour shift. Must be able to work all shifts, and weekends/holidays as required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and through written communications.
