Job Description:
Calm Source is looking to expand outpatient mental health services to the Danville Public School S=system and is looking for a qualified candidate that can work in the schools to provide outpatient counseling to students and their families. General Purpose:LMHP Licensed staff not requiring supervision including Clinical Psychologist, LPC, LCSW, LCAS or LMFT in the state of Virginia will provide general outpatient clinical services delivery by providing direct and/or indirect supervision with Facilitators, CSACs, Case Manager, and any other direct care staff. The outpatient counselor will deliver support services to members of the community by facilitating successful outputs that include, but are not limited to: excellent agency image, positive customer relationships and experiences, client's treatment needs are always evaluated and served: clients rights are mandated without human rights complaints or violations; all documentation and client records are 100% complete, accurate, and in accordance with regulation and agency standards; reimbursement for service delivery is accurate, maximized and timely; effective and efficient management of agency resources.Required Core Competencies:Persons in this position must demonstrate proficiency of and will be partially evaluated on the following six (6) Core Competencies:

  • Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Professional Qualifications and Experience:Persons in this position should have the following:
    • Working Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with Lauris Online or Therapy Notes
    • Has conflict resolutions skills.
    • Shows punctuality and timeliness.
    • Can perform majority of duties without outside assistance.
    • Is fully licensed to perform clinical services in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
    • Has at least 3 years' experience in the Mental Health field.
    • Licensed or license eligible in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
    • Complete all documentation related to client work daily, accurately, on time and according to the standards and regulations.
    • Help develop effective treatment plans and provide timely feedback to client regarding goals.
    • Report to work regularly and on time: do not miss appointments or meetings.
    • Ability to work with a wide range of supported persons.
    • Must have a valid Driver's License.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with clientele and Calm Source Team Members.
    • Strong writing skills.
    • Can ensure full compliance with all DBHDS regulations.
    • Must be certified in CPR, First Aid, and NCI.
    • Must be a strong team player.
    • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Must have commitment to company values and loyalty to the agency.
    • Must pass all child protection services, criminal history (FBI, state police) and Division of Motor Vehicle Background Checks.
    • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in the English Language.
    • Previous experience mental health counseling (experience in family, individual and educational counseling)
    • Familiarity with Care Coordination documentation
    • Ability to build rapport with clients, compassionate and caring demeanor
    • Strong leadership qualities
    • Must have ability to develop and manage personal caseload.
    Licensed mental health professional (LMHP)LMHP means a physician, licensed clinical psychologist, licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical social worker, licensed substance abuse treatment practitioner, licensed marriage and family therapist, or certified psychiatric clinical nurse specialist.Duties and Responsibilities:Specific roles that relate to the Clinician are outlined and further clarified below:Duties include:
    • Implement intake procedures and handling new client orientation.
    • Performing onsite or telehealth outpatient therapy.
    • Promote the company to local, regional, national, & international constituencies.
    • Perform all functions requested by the CEO or Director of Operations.
    • Offer assistance to, and provide various modalities of therapy for, individuals with mental health or substance abuse issues.
    • Establish open lines of communication and provide various modalities of therapy for individuals with mental health, emotional issues, or substance abuse issues.
    • CARE COORDINATION: Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment providers and agencies (courts, hospitals, Community Service Board, etc). as required based on each clients requirements.
    • Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner
    • knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality
