Position#Summary To provide quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process and established guidelines of nursing practice. Responsible for the supervision of the professional support staff at the health center. Primary Position Responsibilities 1. Initial Intake 2. Patient Room Preparation, Before and After Care 3. Patient Order 4. Point of Care 5. Patient Safety 6. Supervises clinical support staff 7. Maintains and over sees clinical area Work Contact Group (Internal/External) Physicians and residents at various levels of training, patients, patient#s families, outpatient office staff personnel, some HMC dept. personnel, representatives from laboratory, pharmaceutical companies. Reports to (position): Practice Director Supervises (position(s): Health Center Support Staff Qualifications Minimum Education: Required: Nursing# Diploma or Associate#s Degree in Nursing Preferred: Bachelor#s Degree in Nursing Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required: Must have two years nursing experience, Managerial experience License, Registry or Certification: Required: Current New Jersey RN license required. CPR certified, or obtain certification within 6 months of hire. Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required: Good communication and interpersonal skills, decision making ability, telephone etiquette, detail and multitasking oriented, ability to handle a high volume of patients, problem solving skills, ability to use emergency equipment, ability to manage people.
