Check out what it's like to be an Outpatient PT: Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree if graduated before 01/01/2016.
- Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) required if graduated after 01/01/2016.
- For international candidates, a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a DPT is preferred.
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Physical Therapist license in the state of practice. State licensure must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- CPR certification is required or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
- Must maintain all certifications and licensure according to expiration dates.
- American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) membership is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver's license required if assigned to drive a company vehicle. If driving a personal vehicle, proof of insurance is required along with a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds, and push up to 300 pounds.
- Willingness to work at various locations as assigned.
