About IBH Addiction RecoveryIBH Addiction Recovery, founded in 1970, is a highly effective nonprofit organization and leading provider of drug and alcohol addiction treatment in Summit County. We provide evidence-based services including Residential Treatment, Day Treatment, Outpatient Programs, Aftercare support, and Recovery Housing, complemented by spiritual guidance, all intended to offer persons with alcohol and drug addiction, including those with a co-occurring mental health disorder, the opportunity to restore hope and gain skills for a lifetime of sobriety.At IBH Addiction Recovery, we build our treatment philosophy around four core values: Dignity, Community, Stewardship (Outcomes), and Spirituality. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Counselor to help us meet the individualized needs of people in recovery and uphold those values.Job Summary: Provides clinical services and counseling to Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient clients with substance use disorders, including those with a co-occurring mental health disorder, while participating on a multidisciplinary team of behavioral healthcare practitioners.Essential Job Duties:
Participates as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide treatment for clients.Provides face-to-face services including diagnostic assessments, individual counseling, and group counseling. May provide telehealth services as needed and identified by supervisor.Provides diagnostic evaluations and assists clients with accessing IBH Addiction Recovery's continuum of care.Meets or exceeds identified service goals.Develops, reviews, updates, and implements treatment plans.Documents all clinical activities in a timely manner per agency standards. Provides linkage and advocacy for clients with community agencies and resources including a community transition plan. Refers client to supportive services with other community treatment providers as needed.Participates in individual and group supervision.Maintains client forms and records in compliance with agency, CARF, and OHMAS standards.Participates in quality improvement activities and promotes continuous improvement.Performs administrative duties such as completing documentation, i.e. progress notes, reports, evaluations, chart reviews, etc.Maintains confidentiality of all client and agency information.Attends staff meetings and/or review monthly staff meeting minutes.Attends workshops, seminars, and/or agency trainings to stay current on trends in chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, behavioral health counseling, and federal, state, and local regulations required to maintain licensure.Completes internet-based trainings as instructed by administration.Performs other duties that may become necessary or as directed by your supervisor.Competencies: Comprehensive diagnostic assessment, behavioral health group and individual counseling, lethality/risk assessment, case consultation and/or coordination, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, listening skills, problem solving, stress management, interpersonal and teamwork skills, project management, and organization skills with the ability to plan and prioritize work activities.Educational/Experience RequirementsState of Ohio LPC, LPCC, LISW or CDCA or higher requiredMinimum of two years clinical experience, preferably in the chemical dependency or mental health fields.CPR and First Aid certifications, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other EHR systems. Preferred Education Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related fieldPhysical DemandsConsiderable standing or sitting and infrequent walking. Lifts supplies/equipment up to 20 lbs. occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently. Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.Position Type and Expected Hours of Work Monday through Friday, 8am - 4pm with flexibility to include evening hours as needed.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a healthcare setting.
