Position Overview:
The Outreach Coordinator / Field Marketing Specialist at Universacare will be responsible for developing and executing outreach strategies for SNAP-Queens (Services Now for Adult Persons), focusing on connecting underserved senior populations and their caregivers in the Queens area. This role blends grassroots outreach with targeted marketing efforts to raise awareness of SNAP's key services, including case management, home-delivered meals, socialization programs, and healthcare assistance. The individual will work closely with community leaders, healthcare providers, senior centers, and other partners to establish meaningful relationships and ensure these vital services reach those who need them most.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Outreach and Engagement:
o Conduct field outreach efforts to identify and engage underserved seniors and caregivers within the Queens community.
o Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, senior centers, healthcare providers, and local businesses to promote SNAP services.
o Represent SNAP-Queens at community events, health fairs, senior expos, and local gatherings to increase visibility and reach.
o Facilitate presentations, workshops, and information sessions to educate the public about available services.
o Actively engage with faith-based organizations, ethnic communities, and other targeted groups to ensure diverse population outreach.
2. Field Marketing:
o Develop and implement local field marketing campaigns to drive awareness and program participation.
o Distribute marketing materials, brochures, flyers, and information packets in targeted areas, including senior residences, libraries, clinics, and grocery stores.
o Leverage social media and digital platforms to amplify outreach efforts, posting about events, success stories, and program opportunities.
o Track and analyze outreach and marketing campaign performance to refine strategies and improve engagement rates.
3. Collaboration and Partnership Development:
o Work closely with SNAP-Queens program staff to align outreach efforts with service capacity and organizational goals.
o Collaborate with external partners to organize co-sponsored events or joint outreach initiatives.
o Serve as the liaison between SNAP and community stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and fostering long-term relationships.
4. Data Collection and Reporting:
o Collect data on outreach activities, client interactions, and outcomes, ensuring accurate documentation for internal tracking and reporting purposes.
o Provide regular updates and reports on outreach performance, campaign impact, and community engagement.
o Identify trends, gaps, and areas of need in service delivery based on community feedback and outreach data.
5. Other Duties:
o Assist with internal and external communications related to SNAP-Queens programs.
o Support organizational initiatives such as volunteer recruitment and community advocacy efforts.
o Provide occasional on-site support for program activities or client assistance when needed.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field.
· Experience:
o Minimum of 2 years of experience in outreach, community organizing, or field marketing.
o Experience working with senior populations or in human services is a plus.
o Proven success in developing and implementing grassroots outreach and marketing campaigns.
· Skills:
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage diverse populations.
o Knowledge of the Queens community, including its demographic and cultural diversity.
o Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management.
o Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
o Bilingual candidates are highly preferred (Bengali, Hindi, Urdu or another language spoken by local populations).
· Other Requirements:
o Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends for events.
o Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for travel throughout Queens.
o Passion for helping older adults and improving access to social services.
