Title:Outreach CoordinatorDepartment: Employment Training & Economic DevelopmentFLSA Status: Non-ExemptReports To: Director of Employment Training and Economic DevelopmentSummary: Responsible for a wide range of coordination of the Department programs' outreach, day-to-day delivery of direct services, and developing relationships with local communities, businesses, and organizations. Essential Functions:• Connects with different outreach activities for the Trusted Messenger Program to meet the program goal. • Conduct essential information sharing to internal marketing team to post resource to different social media.• Coordinating with different events to bring successful outreach activities in the designated service locations.• Assists in identifying, developing, and maintaining activities, events, and engagement with clients, individuals, and communities.• Stays on top of current resources from The Office of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications (OCPSC), and share the most updated information to the public.• Assists in developing or maintaining program marketing materials, including brochures, and other methods to advertise program services.• Conducts outreach activities, including general outreach and face-to-face engagement, to the targeted population to increase ETED programs and services awareness. • Assists the Director of ETED, represents the ETED on different workforce and economic program events, as well as participates in funder connection meetings and events.• Maintain the relationship with internal agency department referral to host and create different marketing campaigns, events, or activities.• Develop and translate bilingual training materials and simulation tools. Maintains and ensures updates of bilingual training materials. • Provides support in compiling and analyzing programs' surveys to assess and capture problem areas. Follows up on action items from survey critiques to ensure corrective action is taken. • Prepares reports as required by funding sources.• Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in wbusiness administration, marketing, social work, or a related field, may be substituted with relevant experience.• Experience in providing training, health, social or aging services to diverse communities. • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. • Must be self-motivated, organized and able to multitask under minimal supervision.• Proficient in MS Office and the Internet.• Must be bilingual and bi-literate in English and Cantonese. Being bilingual in Toishanese and/or Mandarin is a plus.• Must be available to work weekends and evenings as needed. • Must have and maintain a valid CA driver license, satisfactory driving record, and auto insurance coverage as specified in Self-Help's policy.
