Job DescriptionPosition Summary: The Outreach Specialist will conduct outreach activities to current program participants, as well as disengaged participants, to market services, connect participants with resources, and re-engage participants. The candidate should have a background in outreach and/or workforce development and a willingness and desire to work with at-risk and vulnerable populations. They will reflect the Fedcap values of teamwork, collaboration, and innovation. Salary: $40,000 per year. Essential Job Functions:
  • Conduct outreach activities to connect participants with services and resources.
  • Conduct re-engagement efforts for disengaged participants.
  • Facilitate referrals to internal and external partnerships.
  • Ensure proper and timely follow-up to engage participants and promote compliance.
  • Conduct outreach to external partners such as schools, employers, internship sites, etc. to follow up on participant status.
  • Conduct community-based outreach as needed.
  • Ensure all outreach efforts are properly recorded in the database.
  • Provide proper participant and organizational follow-up.
  • Partner with internal departments to determine their outreach needs and create a pipeline between departments.

Education and Experience:
  • HS Diploma or GED/TASC required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented. Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and be sensitive to maintaining confidentiality.
  • A minimum of 1 year of satisfactory full-time administrative support experience is required.
