The Mental Health Association (MHA) is hiring immediately for Outreach workers. The outreach workers perform a variety of duties to assist participants with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, brain injuries, mental health issues, and/or substance abuse issues to obtain and maintain quality housing and to provide the necessary support to enable participants to independently live in the community. Perform responsibilities professionally, in collaboration with other team members in accordance with MHA's Core Values (Respect, Integrity, and Compassion), policies, practices, program funding and applicable regulatory agency guidelines.RequirementsThe Outreach workers Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Valid driver's license, sufficient automobile insurance, acceptable driving record, and a safe reliable vehicle during working hours.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time, prioritize tasks, take initiative, follow through, and work cooperatively as a member of a team.
- Good oral, written, computer, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to the changing needs of the program participants.
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, caring, and compassion.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Outreach workers Must Have
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile insurance with your name listed as an insured Driver
- No more than 3 violations within the past 3 years on your driving record
- A safe reliable vehicle during working hours
